Migration & Development Thematic Group

The importance of migration is increasing in our analytical and operational work, and there is an increasing need to facilitate and enhance our technical and policy activities. 

The Migration and Development Thematic Group is a joint effort by several networks, DEC, and regions, and is coordinated by PRMPR.  The main objectives of the Group are to:

• Facilitate the communication within the World Bank on migration analytical and operational Bank activities, and inviting external speakers on the subject.
  
  
• Disseminate and coordinate funding opportunities for migration work across the Bank.
  
  
• Prepare operational guidelines to support country teams in addressing specific migration and remittances topics.
