Abstract: The World Bank will support Ghana's Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy (GPRS II) for the country to achieve middle-income status and the Millennium Development Goals, and to ensure that benefits of growth are shared. Based on the GPRS II, the overall Ghana Partnership Results Matrix is the prioritized framework also for the Country Assistance Strategy (CAS), indicating objectives, baselines, targets, government action and partner contributions. To further harmonize partners' contributions, the Ghana Joint Assistance Strategy (GJAS) was signed by 16 partners, on February 27, 2007. This CAS, consists of Part I, the G-JAS, laying out commitments by partners, and Part II, a World Bank Group Program with Ghana. The two parts are complementary and need to be read together.
